Public Administration faculty Serena Kim and Graham Ambrose were awarded a grant as part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Office of Research and Engagement’s Junior Faculty and Development Awards and Research Seed Grants that were announced May 20, 2025.

Their project, “Overcoming Collective Action Barriers to Community Microgrid Development: Experimental Insight” will examine the conditions under which people are more likely to cooperate and participate in inclusive decision-making when developing local microgrids, small community-based energy systems that generate and share electricity.

They will receive up to $4,000 to support their projects through the end of the fiscal year 2026.
