Alum Makes His Mark in Sports, Fashion and Pop Culture Branding

During his days as a student at NC State, Patrick Joyce (Poli Sci '98) spent hours under the guidance of track coach Rollie Geiger, learning lessons on running, leadership and life. He continues to apply those lessons as director of licensing and brand development for IMG, which represents some of the world’s biggest sports figures, fashion icons, companies and events.

Student Combines Internships and Study Abroad to Enhance Academic Career

Justin Lo is a sophomore majoring in political science. A Chancellor's Leadership Scholar, Justin has held several internships, is active in campus groups and sings in gospel choirs. He plans to study abroad at the University of Seoul in Spring 2016, and envisions a career in law.

Humanities and Social Sciences Advocate Karl Eikenberry to Give NC State Commencement Address

Eikenberry, a former U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan and director of Stanford University’s U.S.-Asia Security Initiative, will deliver the university’s commencement address on Dec. 18 in Raleigh. He’ll also receive an honorary degree, conferred by Chancellor Randy Woodson. The former U.S. Army lieutenant general is a champion of humanities and social sciences.
